Members' Day - Save the date!

Join us for WPC's 2010 Members’ Day and Annual Meeting at The Barn at Fallingwater, located on the spectacular Bear Run Nature Reserve in Mill Run, PA.

The day’s activities include:

• Continental breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m.
• Hikes on Bear Run Nature Reserve throughout the day, led by WPC naturalists
• Hands-on exhibits
• 10:30 a.m. business meeting to elect Directors of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy
• Overview of program highlights and recent accomplishments
• Free tours of Fallingwater
• Barbecue lunch - $17 per person, children 10 and under free
• Recognition of newly designated Evergreen Circle members

Allegheny River Sojourn – Save the date!
June 12-13, 2010

Participants join our group for a guided overnight canoe or kayak trip down the Allegheny River. This year’s theme is “Soaring Down the Allegheny” and the trip will include presentations on the birds that call the Upper Allegheny river home. More details coming soon.

Fallingwater Twilight Tour – Save the date!
Saturday, August 28, 2010

Join us for the 16th annual Twilight Tour at Fallingwater. Guests will be served wine and hors d’oeuvres on the bridge outside Fallingwater, take on a self-guided tour of the house, and enjoy a gourmet picnic dinner with live music. More details coming soon.

KTA – Bear Run Trail Care Weekend
October 15-17, 2010

Help the Keystone Trails Association preserve Bear Run’s trails. Volunteers arrive at a designated camping area Friday evening. Saturday and half a day Sunday are devoted to clearing brush and blowdowns, painting blazes, digging sidehill or installing signage, as needed. Tools and gloves are provided. Participants must bring their own camping gear.
